Gloria Damijan, Ernesto Rodriguez and Zbigniew Chojnaki will explore the sound of strings and the keys of the accordion and the pianos as stripes. In various techniques and musical structures together with Wolfgang Dokulil who will transform their improvisations into visual art. Together they’ll achieve a vivid communication between audible and visible actions.
Ernesto Rodriguez is one of the most known Violinists of the Portuguese Improvisation Scene, also regularly active in Berlin’s experimental Scene and owner of the label ‚Creative Sources‘, where the first CD of Gloria Damijan’s project ‚ctrl‘ was published. Concerts together in Lisbon, Peniche and Vienna accomplished their cooperaton since 2012.
Wolfgang Dokulil and Gloria Damijan are connected through various projects and co-operations since 2016 that try to establish ‚KunstbeTrieb‘ as a space for audiovisual improvisation and enrichment of cultural life in the 18th district of Vienna.
Zbigniew Chojnacki – accordion player, improviser. The music and sounds sees the ease and conventionally, the most important is dialogue and encounter with another man. Any form emit a sound, it is facilitated to make contact with people, is inspired by the elements most often not directly related to music, as he says ,, old washing machine, a blade of grass, the sound of the engine of the bus, or even usually a chair in the middle of a scene can be inspiring. “
Despite his young age already he worked with many distinguished musicians improvised music scene, among others, , Adam Pierończyk, Krzysztof Knittel, Joelle Leandre, TOC, Marcin Albert Steczkowski, Anna Gadt. Krzysztof Gradziuk, Michał Urbaniak. Fixed cocreates a BACKSPACE with Łukasz Czekała, which meets, grows and creates music, which he says has the expression ,, improvised contemporary music “.

Teil 2 Streichinstrumente auf die Bühne – offene Impro Session, come and join!
Der Kontrabassist Fred Marty (FR) und die Geigerin Irene Kepl haben 2018 in Paris aufgenommen und präsentieren auf ihrer CD Stück für Stück eine haptisch-musikalische Turnfigur. Sie haben die einmalige Gelegenheit einen charmanten Salto, einen aufregenden Purzelbaum (Roll), kunstvolles Schlittern (Skid) und erhebende Umkehrungen (U-Turn) zu bestaunen. Dem Streichduo geht es bei ihrer Musik weniger um die Anmut und Eleganz als solches denn um verstörende Leidenschaft und präzise Frechheiten. Holz schabt sich über Metallklingen durchs Pferdehaar und schwingt sich in alle Richtungen hinfort, abgedreht und durchgedrungen. Viel Vergnügen!
Danach: Hommage an die Viol-Holz-Pferdehaar-Instrumente laden wir streichende Kolleg*innen ein die Bühne zu bespielen, sich zu treffen und zu improvisieren! Eine gestrichene Session – wir freuen uns auf euch!
